Despite enjoying two Marlins World Series titles, it's been kind of rough being a Marlins fan because of the devastating dismantling the owners have put us through after winning it all. As a result of that, the stadium is embarrassingly empty for home games. I'd go fill a seat for every home game if I wasn't in college in Gainesville. I had a chip on my shoulder at the beginning of the 2006 season. But to my and everyone's surprise, the young club gradually adjusted to the big leagues and dug themselves out from 20 games under .500. Everyone and their mother knew Joe Girardi would be canned due to unfortunate personality clashes. I was miffed when it happened, but I have warmed up to Fredi. The Fish Boys are fun to watch both on the field and in the dugout. I'm not a fan of the owner or GM, but I am a fan of the young players they've developed and acquired. I'm about to graduate from UF with a degree in telecommunication (broadcasting). My hope is that somebody "important" will happen upon this blog and become so impressed they offer me a job.

During baseball season, nothing else really matters. That's why I finally caved and made an MLBlog...because from April-October, baseball is pretty much all I watch on television and all I ever want to talk or read about.
